In times of heightened uncertainty and unprecedented government spending to reduce the economic repercussions of the Corona pandemic, cryptocurrency Bitcoin has been coined the first “digital gold” and has attracted the attention of investors, media and general public. Platforms for digital artwork offer so-called NFTs, non-fungible tokens, that provide historical provenance and authenticity for artists and collectors. However, these mostly speculative markets tend to distract from the fast dissemination of disruptive commercial applications based on Blockchain and other distributed ledger technologies (DLTs).

Within the session „The dawn of cryptocurrencies – illusion or reality?“, we will focus on the questions:

–        What are characteristics of Blockchain technology?

–        How can we apply Blockchain technology within companies?

–        How will the future look like?

You will learn about the history of Blockchain and the efforts to overcome the scalability problem, the trend from process applications to hybrid platforms and opportunities and challenges of the future.

Bring a sense of curiosity and doubt so that we can discuss this technology from a neutral perspective.

We would very much like to see you among us on June 22nd. The event will start at 17:00 (Istanbul Time).
